Charity news for 2011 - Well done to everyone who completed the Manchester 10K run. We are already signed up for next year if you wish to join us.
Atha is still collecting sponsor money either directly or through the JustGiving page. Our target has been exceeded so extra special thank you to everyone who raised money or sponsored us.

We have also recently sold various second-hand pieces of equipment, gloves, focus mitts, foot protectors, with all proceeds going to charity. A total of ₤75 has been raised and been donated to the Genesis Breast Cancer Centre, which Chris is also involved with as per details below. Chris, our Chief Instructor, is also doing some really impressive charity work, read all about it in the August issue of Martial Arts Illustrated http://www.martialartsunltd.co.uk/ magazine, a copy of which can be bought at the class with proceeds going to the Genesis Breast Cancer Centre in Wythenshawe, Manchester. Website Contributions: We are always happy to receive information, news and stories from students to add to our website. This will create an informative and friendly environment for both new and existing students. Please feel free to send Donna any stories, photographs, links, etc that you wish to be included. It would be great to get some new pictures of recently joined students together with some feedback on training.
Research Project Caron Doyle, who formerly run the club with Donna, is currently undertaking some research into martial arts through Salford University where she is studying towards a degree in sports rehabilitation.
